Volkswagen Canada Offering Incentives On Non-Diesel Models

Volkswagen Canada is offering steep incentives on select models to attract customers in order to make up for lost sales after the diesel scandal.

Quote:
Until Nov. 2, Volkswagen says it is offering a choice of lower finance rates, lower lease rates and cash incentives on select vehicles.
Here's a list of incentives as of October 1st (depends on model too):
-finance interest rates as low as zero % for up to 84 months
-lease rates as low as 0.9 per cent for up to 48 months
-up to $6,000 cash back

On top of these incentives, VW is also offering an additional $1,500 in bonus cash.

If you're heart if set on the Golf R400 then you'll have to wait a while but if you are flexible, now may be the time to scoop up a very affordable VW vehicle.

Is this incentive enough for you to overlook the scandal? I just don't like the idea of giving money to a company that just was caught doing something so sneaky and malicious.

Hard to say when you can get up to $7,500 cash incentive. Heard that VW is also rolling out incentives in America.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV is trying to lure VW AG customers away with rebates as much a 1,500 euros. On top of discounts, FCA is taking trade ins from any of VW's brands.
We may see these kinds of targeted incentives from the American and Canadian FCA.

Does this apply to all of their well known automotive marques like Jeep?

Not sure. You'll have to go into a dealership yourself and see.

Just an update. Seems like they are bumping up the incentives as some dealers are taking 11 percent off their cars’ stickers. Now may be the time to get a VW vehicle even if it's not the golf r400.

Not bad at all, if you're in it for the long haul then by all means go ahead since having a diesel as a commuter can help A LOT. In the short term... this whole scandal could impact you. Years down the road people will forget about the scandal.

It's not just Canada, seems to be international. They're having a Volksfest 2015 in Indian with trade in incentives and great financing. Probably doing everything they can to boost their sales numbers this year after losing so much in the U.S.
