Anyone else considering a Golf SportWagen TDI?

I'm thinking of buying one for the family...make the R400 my daily driver, and have the new Golf TDI wagon for family duties.

Am I crazy to consider two Mk7s in the same driveway?

If I had real needs for owning one of these along with liking how it looks, i'd consider getting one but chances are i'll end up having an R400 and a Jetta in my garage, my vehicles will be mostly for me. While a Jetta is going beyond my needs, always been a fan of them. Good for hauling my friends around.

I don't see why not. The TDI's pull down crazy mileage and I've heard they've really upped their game reliability wise... Besides its hard to find a good wagon now a days

Very true.

Finding a decent wagon is one thing, finding one that gets great mileage is a clear win for someone who really needs it. Good for families!

I wish VW would import the Golf R wagon. This would combine both of my desires to fit my needs:

That's a wagon that has potential being a niche product, if it was a mainstream wagon trim then forget it!

I'm not sure what you mean. If you live in Europe, you can order a Golf R wagon without issue. Availability is not restricted.

I meant in north america but even here they're sold, just don't see them very often, rare sighting.
